Shri
L.K. Advani, Deputy Prime Minister in a condolence message to
Shri Amitabh Bachchan on the death of Dr. Harivanshrai Bachchan,
said that with the sad demise of the noted Hindi poet, the country
has lost a poet who wrote for common man highlighting his toils
and turmoils. Shri Advani further said that with works like "Madhushala"
and his autobiography "In the Afternoon of Time", Dr.
Bachchan had become a legend in his life time. The void created
by his death is difficult to fill, he said.
