The Prime Minister,
Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has greeted the nation on auspicious
and festive occasions of Makar Sankranti and Pongal.
In a message,
Shri Vajpayee said that the two harvest festivals symbolise prosperity
and well being of the people. It is a time to pay tributes to
the efforts of our farmers who toil throughout the year to keep
our granaries full. Let the spirit of these festivals pervade
throughout the length and breadth of our country to bring peace,
unity, progress and harmony among all sections of our society.
