The tenure of the Liberhan
Ayodhya Commission of Inquiry has been further extended upto June
30, 2003. The Liberhan Commission had been set up to inquire into
a definite matter of public importance i.e. the destruction of
Ram Janma Bhoomi-Babri Masjid structure at Ayodhya on December
6, 1992. A Home Ministry Notification said that the Commission
will now submit its report before June 30, 2003.
