During the 9th
Five Year Plan, 848 on going Central Sector projects each costing
Rs. 20 crore or above were on the monitor of the Ministry of
Statistics and Programme Implementation including the projects
carried over from 8th Five Year Plan. This information
was given by the Minister of State for Statistics and Programme
Implementation, Shri S.B. Mookherjee in Rajya Sabha today.
Replying to a question
by Shri Lajpat Rai and Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, the Minister
said that 413 ongoing projects of the 9th Plan have
been included in 10th Plan out of which 193 were
to be completed during the 9th Plan period.
