BG LINE FROM PIPAVAV PORT TO SURENDRANAGAR

The entire project
to connect Gandhinagar with the Ahmedabad-Delhi broad gauge line
including conversion of Adraj Moti-Kalol in Gujarat is planned
for completion during 2004-2005 depending upon availability of
resources. The anticipated cost of the project is Rs. 49.96 crores.
An outlay of Rs. 15 crore has been provided for the project during
2003-2004.
Thirty hectares out
of the 45—hectare land has been acquired. Earthwork and bridgework
is in various stages of progress.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Basanagouda
R. Patil in a written reply to a question from Shri Bhachani Lekhraj
in the Rajya Sabha today.
