SUBSIDIARIES OF COAL INDIA LTD. EARN PROFIT


LOK SABHA

North-Eastern Coalfields (NEC) earned a profit of Rs. 1293.01 crore during the year 2002-03. This was highest profit among all the subsidiaries of Coal India (CIL) Limited. Mahanadi Coalfield Ltd. (MCL) earned a profit of Rs. 882.31 crore followed by South-Eastern Coalfields Ltd. which earned a profit of Rs.882.13 crore. Profits of CIL subsidiaries during the each of the last three years are shown in the table given below:
