PROCUREMENT
OF SPARES FOR SEA HARRIERS AND SEA KING HELICOPTERS

The
spares for the Sea Harrier aircraft are being procured from the
Original Equipment Manufacturer of the aircraft in the UK. No
spares for the Sea Harrier are being procured from the US.
Ninety-eight spares
of Sea King Aircraft have been ordered through the Foreign Military
Sales Scheme of US Navy. Of these, eighty spares have already
been supplied.
This information
was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written
reply Shri GS Basavaraj in Lok Sabha today.
