The progress of East-West corridor under National Highways Development Project is under:

An amount of Rs.631.21 crore has been spent by National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) till date.

The following monitoring mechanism viz-a-viz money spent, work progress and quality of work etc. is in place:

    1. The supervision consultants have been engaged for projects under execution and they are responsible for day to day monitoring of expenditure, progress and quality works.
    2. The Project Director of NHAI at Project Implementation Unit monitors projects on daily basis.
    3. The projects are monitored by NHAI Headquarters by way of daily/weekly/monthly reports and inspections.
    4. The projects are also monitored by Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport & Highways on regular basis.

No specific provision for improvement of National Highways connecting to the end of East-West Corridor has been made. However, this work is carried out on normal basis subject to availability of funds.
