FACILITIES FOR HANDICAPPED PERSONS AT RAILWAY STATIONS

Railways have decided to provide various facilities like wheel chairs, standard ramp with railing for barrier free entry, at least 2 parking lots for vehicles used by disabled persons, non-slippery walkway from parking lot to building, signages of appropriate visibility, at least one drinking water tap and toilet on ground floor for use by the physically challenged persons.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Shri A. Brahmanaiah in the Lok Sabha today.
