FUNDS RELEASED TO KARNATAKA AND
ASSAM FOR UPDATING OF LAND RECORDS
Ministry of Rural
Development has released an amount of Rs. 112.25 lakh to the State
Governments of Karnataka & Assam for Centrally Sponsored Scheme
for Strengthening of Revenue Administration & Updating of
Land Records.
Ministry has released
Rs.50 lakh to Karnataka for undertaking the project of Scanning
and Mircrofilming of Survey Records in 8 taluks of the State during
the year 2003-2004. While Assam Government gets Rs.62.25 lakh
for strengthening of Revenue administration & updating of
Land Record.
The Scheme is financed
by the Centre and the State on 50 : 50 funds sharing basis.
