RAILWAYS-BRIDGE ON RAIL LINE BETWEEN
NIRMALI AND BHAPTIYAHI
The total anticipated
cost of the work of mega bridge over river Kosi alongwith link
lines between Nirmali-Bhaptiyahi is Rs. 323.41 crore. An outlay
of Rs. 10 crore has been allocated for the work in Budget 2003-2004.
This is a new work,
which has been included in the Budget 2003-2004 and expenditure
incurred on the work during the year would be known only after
finalization of accounts after closure of financial year. Final
location survey has been taken up. Tender awarded for earthwork
in 6 km length from Nirmali side and work taken up. The expenditure
incurred on inauguration programme of the Bridge also forms part
of the work.
The work is targeted
for completion in about 6 years time.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya
in a written reply to a question from Prof. Ram Deo Bhandary in
the Rajya Sabha today.
