WALKIE-TALKIE SETS TO CREW IN TRAINS
The old Zonal and
Divisional Railway Headquarters, have been provided with satellite
phones. The newly formed Zones and Divisions have initiated the
procurement action and satellite phones will also be provided
in new Zonal and Divisional Headquarters soon.
Railways proposal
was to give 5 watt walkie-talkie sets to Drivers and Guards. These
have since been provided to the Drivers and Guards of all trains.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya
in a written reply to a question from Shrimati N.P Durga in the
Rajya Sabha today.
