I & B MINISTER CONDEMNS ATTACK
ON AIR SRINAGAR
The Minister of Information
& Broadcasting, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad has strongly condemned
the dastardly attack by terrorists on All India Radio Station
in Srinagar today. He praised the quick retaliatory action by
the security forces in foiling the attack and killing the terrorists.
Shri Prasad also commended the exemplary courage displayed by
the AIR staff and carrying on the transmission even while under
fire. He said the security arrangements of All India Radio &
Doordarshan could be further strengthened to foil any such attempt
in future.
Shri Prasad immediately
got in touch with the Station Director, Srinagar and had a meeting
with the CEO, Prasad Bharti to review the situation.
