NORTH-EAST MUSIC FEST 2003
A National Level
Music Competition of DD North-East Music Fest 2003 is being held
at Ashok Hotel, New Delhi on 25th-26th April,
2003. The inauguration of the festival will be held at 5.30 p.m.
tomorrow. Shri C.P. Thakur, Minister of Deptt. Of Development
of North-Eastern Region will be the chief guest. Shri Vikram Verma,
Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports will preside over the
function.
The objective of
the programme is to provide opportunities to the youth of North-Eastern
region so that they may exhibit their talents in an effective
manner. During this National Competition, 16 State level winning
teams will compete with each other for first, second and third
place.
The programme is
being undertaken by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, an autonomous
organisation under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports
in collaboration with Department of Development of North-Eastern
Region, Doordarshan & Ashok Hotel.
