WAREHOUSING CORPORATION OF INDIA
The Central Warehousing
Corporation (CWC) provides consultancy services and execution
of work for construction of warehouses in the country. The CWC
has so far provided consultancy to the following institutions
for construction of warehouses/godowns:-
For construction
of godowns on behalf of Food and Civil Supplies, Delhi Government
at Ghazipur during 1988-89;
Construction of Super
Bazar at Palam Gaon under the Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies
and Construction of godowns at various places in the State of
Uttaranchal under the Government of U.P. and Government of Uttaranchal.
Recently, the CWC
has offered its services for supervision and consultancy for construction
of godowns in Rural areas under Gramin Bhandaran Yojana under
the subsidiary scheme of central government to be financed by
commercial/NABARD Bank.
This information
was given by the Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food
and Public Distribution Shri Subhash Maharia in a written reply
to Smt. S.G. Indira in Rajya Sabha today.
