The President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in his message on the occasion of Naba Barsha, Puthandu Pirappu, Rongali Bihu and Vishu which are being celebrated tomorrow, has said:-

"I extend my greetings and best wishes to all my fellow citizens on the auspicious occasion of Naba Barsha, Puthandu Pirappu, Rongali Bihu and Vishu, which celebrate the advent of the new agricultural year.

These festivals symbolise the importance and respect given to hard work in our tradition. The hard work and sweat of our farmers enrich the nation. May their endeavours help in bringing peace and happiness to our nation."
