PRIME MINISTER GREETS PEOPLE ON THE OCCASION OF BAISAKHI AND BIHU

The Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has greeted the people on the joyous occasion of Baisakhi and Bihu.

In his message, the Prime Minister said that Baisakhi is the time to pay tributes and spare a thought for our farmers who keep our granaries full and contribute their mite to the socio-economic development of the nation. Bihu brings peace, prosperity and happiness to people belonging to all the diverse communities in the beautiful state of Assam.

Shri Vajpayee hoped that these festivals would usher in all-round prosperity, peace, abundance and happiness for everyone.
