COMMITTEE TO MONITOR PROJECTS UNDER
RAIL VIKAS YOJANA
The Ministry of
Railways has set up a Committee to monitor the progress of works
under the National Rail Vikas Yojana (NRVY)
The Committee comprises
Additional Member/Planning, Railway Board, Additional Member/Works,
Railway Board, Additional Member/Budget, Railway Board and Additional
Member/Commercial, Railway Board. The Committee will monitor all
aspects of implementation of National Rail Vikas Yojana including
raising of non-budgetary resources.
The Golden Quadrilateral
and Port Connectivity projects have been identified. Some of the
projects have been sanctioned and are under implementation. Rail
Vikas Nigam Ltd. has been set up to implement Golden Quadrilateral
and some of the Port Connectivity projects.
This information
was given by the Union Minister of Railways Shri Nitish Kumar
in reply to a question from S/Shri K. Muraleedharan and T.M. Selvaganpathi
in the Lok Sabha today.
