12.4% INCREASE IN TOURIST ARRIVAL
Foreign tourist arrival
during first quarter of 2003 has recorded 12.4% increase. During
the period more than 7.71 lakh tourists visited the country in
comparison to 6.86 lakhs visitors in the corresponding period
of 2002.
During the period
foreign exchange earnings also registered 15% increase over the
earnings of corresponding period of last year. Exact arrival and
