EXPANSION PROGRAMME OF MOIL

The Maganese Ore India Ltd. (MOIL) is commissioning a new shaft at Balaghat Mine for increasing the production capacity of low phosphorous high grade maganese ore. The company is trying to acquire new lease in Chhindwara district, Madhya Pradesh. The Central Govt. Mines Tribunal had given an award in favour of MOIL and had requested the MP Govt. to allot the lease to the Company. The Company would be able to increase its production further by adding one more mine in its fold once the lease is granted. Another case is pending with the tribunal for grant of lease.

The Company had improved additional ore reserve in its lease hold area through exploration and diamond drilling. There is a proposal to take up diamond drilling work on contract in Orissa. This will add to profit of the Company. The Company has a proposal to commission a captive power plant of its own to ensure regular power supply to its plants.
