ALL INDIA CONSUMER PRICE INDEX FOR AGRICULTURAL AND RURAL LABOURERS IN TWENTY STATES

Meghalaya continued to figure at the top of the index table for both Agricultural and Rural Labourers with 345 and 342 points respectively whereas Manipur remained at the bottom of the index with 295 points for Agricultural Labourers and 296 points for Rural Labourers. The All India Consumer Price Index for Agricultural and Rural Labourers (Base 1986-87 = 100) in 20 States during July and August 2002 has been as follows :-
