PM CONDOLES THE DEATH OF SHRI B.V. KARANTH

The Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has expressed grief over the death of renowned theatre personality Shri B.V. Karanth.

In his condolence message Shri Vajpayee said that Shri Karanth was the doyen of Indian theatre whose rich repertoire included plays, films and music of extra ordinary depth. He also contributed to the world of art as an able administrator of different cultural institutions.

He will always be remembered as a sensitive artist who gave yeoman service to the theatre movement in India, Shri Vajpayee added.
