The Ministry of Rural
Development has released an amount of Rs. 305.95 lakh under Rajiv
Gandhi National Drinking Water Mission.
The Ministry has
released Rs.222 lakh to National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA)
Hyderabad for preparation and digitization of 1723 hydrogeomorphological
maps on 1:50000 scale covering the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka,
Kerala, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The total approved
cost of the project is Rs.1309 lakh.
The Ministry has
released Rs.66.20 lakh towards the first instalment to NRSA, Hyderabad,
for preparation and digitization of hydrogeomorphological maps
covering the States of Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Orissa. The
total approved cost of the project is Rs.662.00 lakh.
The Ministry has
released Rs.17.75 lakh to the State Government of Mizoram towards
monitoring and investigation units under Accelerated Rural Water
Supply Programme for the year 2002-03.
