RAM NAIK CONDOLES DEATH OF FORMER PETROLEUM MINISTER SHRI RAMAMURTHY


Shri Ram Naik, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas has condoled the sad demise of Shri V.K.Ramamurthy former Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Speaking at a condolence meeting held in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas here today Shri Naik recalled his long association with Shri Ramamurthy. He praised Shri Ramamurthy for initiatives taken by him during his tenure as Union leader, Parliamentarian, Union Minister of State and specially as the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas. Shri Naik said that the reforms in oil sector remained on course under the stewardship of Shri Ramamurthy which has today culminated into complete deregulation of oil sector for ushering in competition so that benefits of better services and products are available to consumers.

Shri Naik prayed Almighty to provide strength to the bereaved family of the departed soul to be able to bear the irreparable loss. After passing a resolution condoling the death of Shri Ramamurthy, a six time Lok Sabha M.P, a two minutes’ silence was observed at the condolence meeting.
