SENIOR LEVEL APPOINTMENTS

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments: -

1. Shri G. C. Srivastava, IAS (AGMU: 67), presently Chairman, Tariff Commission, as Secretary, Twelfth Finance Commission, in the rank and pay of Secretary, with effect from the date of constitution of the Twelfth Finance Commission. His tenure would be co-terminus with that of the Commission, and the terms and conditions of his re-appointment after he retires on 30.6.2003 would be decided by the administrative Ministry in consultation with the Department of Personnel and Training.

2. Shri A. V. Singh, IAS (UL: 67), presently Secretary, Department of Revenue, as Secretary, Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources.

3. Shri D. C. Gupta, IAS (OR: 67), presently Secretary (Banking and Insurance), as Secretary, Department of Expenditure, vice Shri C. S. Rao, IAS (AP: 67).

4. Shri C. S. Rao, IAS (AP: 67), presently Secretary, Department of Expenditure, as Secretary, Department of Revenue, vice Shri Ajay Vikram Singh, IAS (UL: 67).

5. Shri K. C. Misra, IAS (AP: 67), presently Special Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests, as Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests, vice Shri P. V. Jayakrishnan, IAS (AGMU: 65), superannuating on 31.10.2002.

6. Smt. Vineeta Rai, IAS (AGMU: 68), presently Special Secretary, Department of Urban Development, as Secretary (Banking and Insurance), Department of Economic Affairs vice Shri D. C. Gupta, IAS (OR: 67).

7. Shri V. K. Agnihotri, IAS (AP: 68), presently Officer on Special Duty, Twelfth Finance Commission, as Chairman, Tariff Commission, in the rank and pay of Secretary, vice Shri G. C. Srivastava, IAS (AGMU: 67).

8. Shri S. P. Arya, IAS (UP: 68), presently in the cadre, as Adviser, Planning Commission, in the rank and pay of Secretary, vice Shri P. K. Mohanty, IAS (OR: 67) on his repatriation to the cadre.

9. Shri V. K. Duggal, IAS (AGMU: 68), presently Director General, Tourism, as Special Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests, vice Shri K. C. Misra, IAS (AP: 67).

10. Shri S. S. Blowria, IAS (JK: 68), presently Director of Enforcement in the pay of Additional Secretary, to be in the pay of Secretary in his present post.
