POPULATION CLOCK INAUGURATED AT NIRMAN BHAWAN

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Shri Shatrughan Sinha today inaugurated the Population Clock at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi. The clock has been designed and developed by Titan Industries Limited. It is designed to display the changing population figures of India on a real time basis.

The Department of Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has joined hands with Doordarshan to launch another weekly programme "Kalyani" on Reproductive & Child Health issues in 9 States viz. Rajasthan, M.P., U.P., Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Assam.

A highly entertaining programme format conceptualised & designed by Development Communication Division, Doordarshan is produced with people’s participation, in interactive mode and aims at social action.
