VICE PRESIDENT REVIEWS PREPARATIONS FOR THE LOKNAYAK JAI PRAKASH NARAIN BIRTH CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS


A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Vice President to organise the birth centenary celebration year of Loknayak Jai Prakash Narain in an organised manner. In order to decide the mode of commencement of the celebration year ( on his birthday), the Vice President, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat discussed the modalities in a meeting with former Prime Minister Shri Chandra Shekhar, Minister for Tourism and Culture, Shri Jagmohan and Shri Prabhash Joshi. It was decided that the birth century year should commence in a solemn way with appropriate programme. It was also decided that Shri Chandra Shekhar and Shri Jagmohan will visit the birth place of Loknayak Jai Prakash Narain in Ballia and thereafter, will finalise the various programmes to be organised on October 11.

The date of birth of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain falls on 11th October. This day has a special significance because the birth centenary celebrations year also commences from this day.
