INDUCTION OF IL-78
AIRCRAFT
RAJYA SABHA
The Indian Air Force
propose to procure IL-78 Flight Refuelling Aircraft. These will
be delivered by December 2003.
It would not be in
the interest of national security to disclose the information
about the time schedule by when the Air Force is going to get
Mirage 2000 fighters fitted with air-to-air refuelling capability.
This information
was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written
reply to Shri K Rama Mohana Rao in Rajya Sabha today.
