VIETNAMESE DELEGATION CALLS ON DEFENCE MINISTER

A five member youth delegation including a lady who are on their first ever visit to India as a part of a regular Indo-Vietnamese Youth Exchange Programme called on the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes here today. The member of the delegation enumerated their experience of Desert Safari which they undertook in the Jaisalmer area of Rajasthan from 08 to 18 of this month to the Defence Minister. The delegation has come to India on the invitation of Directorate General National Cadet Corps (NCC) which has youth exchange programme with several friendly countries.

Twenty Indian NCC cadets including two girl cadets also took part in the Desert Safari. The Safari was conducted on camel back and covered a distance of 120 kms through open desert terrain.
