SUPPLY SPARES PARTS FOR SU-30 MKI

As per the general contract with Rosoboronexport of Russia, 140 SU-30 MKI aircraft is planned for licence manufacture at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in different phases and the delivery is to commence from 2004-2005. The production of the aircraft has not begun. Supply of spare parts for SU-30 MKI aircraft at this stage, therefore, does not arise.

This information was given by the Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written reply to Shri PK Maheshwari in Rajya Sabha today.
