REPORT ON REFORMING OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

The Justice V.S. Malimath Committee on Criminal Justice Reforms is conducting interactions with the Bar, Police, Jurists, Prosecutors, High Courts and other legal experts in order to arrive at conclusions on the areas of reform in the Criminal Justice System. The term of the Committee has been extended up to September 30, 2001.

This information was given by the Union Minister of Law, Justice and Company Affairs, Shri Arun Jaitley in a written reply to a question from Shri N.T. Shanmugam in the Lok Sabha today.
