UPGRADATION
OF COMPUTERIZATION IN HIGH COURTS
Upgradation
of computerization of all the High Courts on par with the level
of computerization in the Supreme Court has been taken up in the
current financial year 2002-2003. Although computerization in
almost all High Courts has been done by the National Informatics
Centre (NIC) long back, except in the three newly created High
Courts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttaranchal, there is need
to upgrade the level of their computerization.
The
upgradation of computerization in all the High Courts is intended
to enable them to start accepting electronic filing of documents,
listing of cases and providing copies of court orders through
the internet or e-mail.
