UPGRADATION OF COMPUTERIZATION IN HIGH COURTS


Upgradation of computerization of all the High Courts on par with the level of computerization in the Supreme Court has been taken up in the current financial year 2002-2003. Although computerization in almost all High Courts has been done by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) long back, except in the three newly created High Courts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttaranchal, there is need to upgrade the level of their computerization.

The upgradation of computerization in all the High Courts is intended to enable them to start accepting electronic filing of documents, listing of cases and providing copies of court orders through the internet or e-mail.
