RAM NAIK CONDOLES DEATH OF SHRI JAGDAMBI PRASAD YADAV


The Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Shri Ram Naik has condoled the death of Member of the Lok Sabha Shri Jagadambi Prasad Yadav. In his condolence message Shri Naik described him as a man with vast experience, avowed love for Hindi and an active public life till the death snatched him away from us. Shri Yadav was Minister of State in the Government of Shri Morarji Desai in 1977 and left an indelible mark in the service of countrymen. Presently as Convenor of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Languages Shri Jagdambi Prasad Yadav was instrumental in underlining the importance of increased use of Hindi in particular and Indian Languages in general in our official and un-official dealings. Shri Naik said that in the demise of Shri Yadav country has been deprived of the services of a committed and experienced statesman.

Petroleum Minister stated that the demise of Shri Yadav while on a tour of the Parliamentary Committee on Official Languages is an appropriate tribute to a man whose mission has been to popularise the application of Hindi in day to day life. The Committee was on a inspection visit of various departments at Coimbatore including the Divisional Office of IOC.
