TRIBUTES PAID TO LATE BALRAJ BOWRY


Rich tributes were paid to Shri Balraj Bowry, former Director Public Relations to the then Prime Minister, Late Smt. Indira Gandhi. Shri Bowry passed away, here yesterday.

At a condolence meeting held in the Press Information Bureau, his former colleagues including Shri Kuldip Nayar, MP, former PIO, Shri U.C. Tiwari, former Director, Publications Division, Shri Madan Gopal, the PIO Smt. N. J. Krishna and Shri S. C. Kackatawana remembered their close association with Shri Bowry.

Shri Kuldip Nayar said that Bowry was a very dedicated PIB Officer. He was very proud of PIB and PIB should be proud that such an outstanding officer was once a part of the organization.

Shri Madan Gopal recollected that he and Shri Bowry were classmates at India’s first ever journalism course at Punjab University, Lahore. He was a very helpful person and had a very wide circle of friends.

Shri U. C. Tiwari said that Shri Bowry was an institution in himself and was helpful to everybody.
