JOINT STATE REPRESENTATIVES AND DEPUTY DIRECTOR NCC CONFERENCE
INAUGURATED
Minister
of State for Defence Shri UV Krishnamraju has lauded the efforts
of the NCC cadets in restoring peace and communal harmony in Gujarat
in the wake of communal clashes recently. Inaugurating the 16th
Joint State Representatives & Deputy Director General of the
National Cadet Corps (NCC) here today he said that NCC is grooming
tomorrows citizen and recalled the services of the NCC cadets
during natural calamities. Defence Secretary Shri Yogendra Narain
also spoke on the occasion.
In the Conference
various issues concerning training, infrastructure and incentives
at the State level came up for discussion. The provision of infrastructure
and manpower by State Governments for raising new NCC Group HQ,
Units, Incentives and Monetary Grants for Associate NCC Officers/cadets
and budgetary support for microlight flying was also discussed.
