DY. PRIME MINISTER CONDOLES RANGA'S DEATH

The Deputy Prime Minister, Shri L.K. Advani has described the death of noted cartoonist N.K. Ranganath, popularly known as "Ranga", as a void in the field of cartoons. Expressing shock over his demise he said that it is a great loss to the media. Describing his sudden demise as a personal loss, he said that he had long association of four decades with him.

He recalled that Ranga had met him only two days back and presented a book of Mahatma Gandhi’s fifty quotations rendered through expressive sketches. His cartoons were of very high quality and the speed with which he could draw a caricature of any personality was really amazing.
