LARGE NUMBER OF TAX PAYERS AVAIL OF SPECIAL COUNTERS AT PRAGATI MAIDAN

The Special Return Receipt Counters for salaried tax payers, set up at Pragati Maidan in Hall No. 14, (Gate No. 3) by the Income Tax Department have received more than 80,000 income tax returns on the first two days i.e. 27^th and 28^th July, 2002.

Special arrangements have been made for senior citizens and refunds were issued on-the-spot to the entitled senior citizens.

The Special Receipt Counters will remain open from 29^th to 31^st July, 2002 between 10.00 AM and 5.00 P.M. The Income Tax Department has advised the tax payers to file their returns on 29^th and 30^th July, 2002 itself so as to avoid last minute rush and consequential inconvenience.
