PRAMOD MAHAJAN CONDOLES THE DEATH OF SHRI KRISHAN KANT
Union Minister for
Parliamentary Affairs and Communications & Information Technology,
Shri Pramod Mahajan has condoled the death of Vice President,
Shri Krishan Kant.
In
his condolence message, Shri Mahajan said:
"His untimely
death has come as a personal shock to me. Shri Krishan Kant unveiled
a new parliamentary vision as Chairman, Rajya Sabha. His commitment
in adhering to parliamentary procedures, neutrality in conducting
business helped see through many unresolvable issues and situations
in the past. His Gandhian proclivities was a learning experience
for all young Parliamentarians. His ability to balance different
political perceptions not only won him admirers, it taught parliamentary
democracy the value of integrity and independent judgement."
Shri Mahajan further
added,
"His political
career was linked to different critical phases of Indian History.
Shri Krishan Kant’s personality provided the ideal bridge between
pre and post independent India."
