ATTACHES VISIT JAMMU & KASHMIR
A delegation of 20
defence attaches, some accompanied by their wives completed their
annual conducted tour to Jammu & Kashmir today.
The
attaches visited Leh, Srinagar, Uri, Gulmarg, Nagrota, Poonch
and Pallanwala (Akhnoor) as well as some forward areas, where
they familiarised themselves with the current situation and were
briefed by senior Army and Air Force Commanders. During the visit
the attaches also interacted with senior civil dignitaries.
The visiting team
of defence attaches were from over 20 countries was led by Brigadier
T K Kaul from the Army Headquarters. Representatives of the three
services Headquarters also accompanied the tour.
