SENIOR LEVEL APPOINTMENTS
The Appointments Committee of the
Cabinet has approved the following appointments:
- Dr. S. Narayan, IAS (TN:65) Secretary,
Department of Revenue, as Finance Secretary and Secretary,
Department of Economic Affairs vice Shri C.M. Vasudev, IAS
(UP:66) on his appointment as Executive Director, World Bank.
- Shri Ajai Vikram Singh IAS(UP:67), Special
Secretary, Defence (Procurement), Ministry of Defence, as
Secretary, Department of Revenue, vice Dr. S. Narayan, IAS
(TN:65)
- Shri D.C. Gupta, IAS (OR:67), Special
Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training, as Secretary
(Financial Sector), Department of Economic Affairs by upgrading
the post of Additional Secretary (Financial Sector).
- Shri Dhirendra Singh, IAS (KN:68), Additional
Secretary, Department of Defence Production and Supplies,
to be given full additional charge of the post of Special
Secretary (Procurement), Ministry of Defence, in his present
rank and pay.
The Appointments Committee of the
Cabinet has also approved the appointment of Shri L.K. Joshi,
IAS (MP:70), presently in the cadre as Member (Administration),
National Highways Authority of India in the rank and pay of Additional
Secretary vice Shri Mukesh Kacker, IAS (MP:79), in the upgraded
post.
