BHARAT REFRACTORIES REVIVAL PACKAGE
The Government has approved
a special package for the revival of Bharat Refractories Ltd.
(BRL), Bokaro. The package includes Rs. 90 crore non-plan loan
for VRS for reducing manpower from 2766 to 1311, Rs.55 crore non-plan
loan for clearing statutory liabilities, Rs.35 crore equity substitution
for addition, modification and replacement schemes, a moratorium
on repayment of loan and interest upto 2010-11 and Rs.30 core
Government guarantee for raising working capital. It also includes
all existing plan non-plan loan as on 2000-01 amounting to 97.89
crore into equity and exemption for payment of guarantee fee for
guarantee given to Rs.24 crore cash credit unit.
