PRESIDENT CONDOLES THE DEATH OF SHRI DHIRUBHAI AMBANI

The President of India, Shri K.R. Narayanan has condoled the death of Shri Dhirubhai Ambani. In his condolence message, the President said:

"I am grieved to learn of the sad and untimely demise of Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, the Chairman of the Reliance Industries Ltd., in Mumbai last night.

Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, hailing from a humble background rose to become an eminent industrialist through his qualities of entrepreneurship and hard work. His emergence as a leading figure in the corporate world has been cited as a remarkable example, which needs to be studied in depth to highlight his important role in our country's quest for economic growth and regeneration.
