FINANCE MINISTER CONDOLES THE DEATH OF SHRI DHIRUBHAI AMBANI

The Finance Minister, Shri Jaswant Singh has condoled the death of Shri Dhirubhai Ambani. In his condolence message, the Finance Minister said:

"I am grieved to hear the news of the demise of Shri Dhirbhai Ambani.

Shri Dhirubhai's life epitomises a spirit of entrepreneurship and unflagging determination which through human history has created enduring institutions. His personal contribution towards fostering competition, creation of wealth and promoting the stock market is of course immense, but equal has been his commitment to his share holders. He will be remembered for redefining Indian Corporate Economics.

My sincere condolences to the family of the late Shri Dhirubhai. I pray to the Almighty to give them the strength to bear this loss with fortitude and courage. May his genius of enterprise continue to prosper."
