The Law Commission
of India has established its website http://lawcommissionofindia,nic,in
, containing a comprehensive information about the Commission,
the list of its reports including downloadable reports. Printed
copies of the Law Commission’s Reports are not generally available
in the market. There is constant increase in demand for its reports
from the public, researchers, law institutions, courts and Bar.
The website will meet largely the demands of the people in this
regard.
The Law Commission
has, so far, forwarded 183 reports to the Government during the
past five decades on various issues in the field of law and legal
reforms. These are often cited in courts, academic and public
seminars.
The Commission
has released a set of three CD ROMs recently containing 176 reports,
which costs Rs. 450 and are being marketed by the National Informatics
Centre (NIC). The full details of the NIC are displayed in the
website of the Law Commission. The bunch of three CD ROMs can
