a significant role in preserving the Indian culture, sensitivities
and conventions. The Minister while addressing the 5th

and innovative programmes besides entertaining or educating the
people. By spreading the awareness about the national integrity,
development policies, in fact, Radio and Television are acting
as a catalyst for country’s development, said the Minister.

to take up the challenges thrown up by the proliferation of numerous
foreign and national channels, which are attacking our culture
by propagating alien cultural values. Our cultural heritage, which
is five thousand years old is our identity and any messing up
with this identity would lead to our fall, he said. He said that
in the present era of Information Technology, AIR and DD should
