NEW APPOINTMENTS
The Appointments Committee of the
Cabinet has approved the following appointments: -
- Shri K. M. Sahni, IAS (AGMU: 69), Director General,
Bureau of Indian Standards, presently on leave, as Additional
Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation vice Shri
R.C. A. Jain, IAS (BH: 68).
- Shri L. Mansingh, IAS (GJ: 70), Additional Secretary,
Department of Commerce as Director General, Foreign Trade, in
the rank and pay of Additional Secretary, vice Shri N. Lakhanpal,
IAS (MH: 67).
- Shri S. K. Das, IAS (KN: 70), Joint Secretary,
Department of Space, as Additional Secretary, Department of
Space vice Shri S. S. Meenakshisundaram, IAS (KN: 68).
- Shri Nirmal Singh, IAS (TN: 70), presently in
the cadre, as Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards,
in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary under the Department
of Consumer Affairs, vice Shri K. M. Sahni, IAS (AGMU: 69).
- Shri S. K. Sen, IPoS (68), presently in
the cadre, as Additional Secretary, Department of Pension and
Pensioners’ Welfare vice Shri R. K. Chandra, IC&CES, on
his appointment as Member, CBEC
