SENIOR LEVEL APPOINTMENTS

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments: -

1. Shri P.K. Mishra, IAS(OR:66), presently in the cadre as Chairman,, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority in the rank and pay of Secretary vice Shri B.S. Baswan.

2. Shri S.K. Naik, IAS(PB:66), presently Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs as Secretary, Department of Health vice Shri J.A. Chowdhury superannuating on 30.4.2002.

3. Shri B.S. Baswan, IAS(CG:67), presently Chairman, National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority as Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs vice Shri S.K. Naik.

4. Shri B.N. Jha, IAS(BH:67), presently, Director General, National Productivity Council as Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry and Department of Public Enterprises vice Shri Ravindra Gupta, IAS (UP:66), superannuating on 30.4.2002.

5. Shri Brijesh Kumar, IAS(UP:68), presently in the cadre as Director General, National Productivity Council in the pay of Secretary vice Shri B.N. Jha.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has also approved the following: -

1. Canceling the earlier orders appointing Shri A.K. Goswami IAS(HP:66) as Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources;

.

.

2. Appointment of Shri B.N. Navalawala, as Adviser, Ministry of Water Resources, on contract basis, by creating a post of Adviser in that Ministry, for a period of one year with effect from 1^st May, 2002, with the terms and conditions of the contract to be decided by the Ministry of Water Resources in consultation with the Department of Personnel and Training; and

3. Giving Shri B.N. Navalawala, in his capacity of Adviser, the full additional charge of the post of Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, until further orders.
