In a written reply
to a question in Lok Sabha today the Minister of State for Statistics
and Programme Implementation Shri S.B.Mookherjee gave this information.
He further stated that the programmes like Swarnajayanti gram
Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY) and Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY)
launched by the government for income and employ,ment generation
in rural areas would contribute to the reduction of rural-urban
divide in average per-capita consumption expenditure.
