APPLICATIONS FOR
NDA AND NAVAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION
(I), 2003 INVITED
The Union Public
Service Commission will hold the National Defence Academy and
Naval Academy Examination (I) on 6th April, 2003. The
Commission have invited applications for admission to Army, Navy
and Air Force Wings of NDA for 111th Course and Naval
Academy for 31st, 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course commencing
from January, 2004.
Approximate number
of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will
be 335 (195 for Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for Air Force and 35 for
Executive Branch of Naval Academy).
The last date for
receipt of applications is 2nd December, 2002. In respect
of applications received by post/speed post from the candidates
residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur,
Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti
District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal
Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep and for
candidates residing abroad, the last date for receipt of applications
is 9th December, 2002.
The Common application
form for UPSC examination alongwith an information brochure containing
general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement
card and an envelope for sending application can be purchased
from any one of the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices
throughout the country on cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty
only).
Candidates must use
only the form supplied with information brochure. Form should
be purchased from Post Office only and not from any other agency.
Candidates must not use photocopy/reproduction/unauthorisedly
printed copy of the form. This will entail rejection. Each form
can be used only once and for only one examination.
For details regarding
scheme & syllabi, centres of examination, instructions for
filling up the application form, list of designated HPOs/Pos for
availability of form etc., candidates must consult the Commission’s
advertisement published in Newspapers and Employment News dated
2nd November, 2002. Complete details about the examination will
also be available on Internet on the Commission’s website at address:
http://www.upsc.gov.in.
UPSC have a Facilitation
Centre near Gate ‘C’ of its campus. Candidates may obtain any
information/clarification regarding their application/candidature
on working days between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in person or over
telephone numbers 011-3385271 and 011-3381125 from this counter.
Candidates can also obtain information about receipt and registration
of their application, venue of examination, results etc. on the
Commission’s website at the address http://www.upsc.gov.in
In case candidates
have any difficulty in obtaining Application Form/Central recruitment
Fee Stamp from any of the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices,
they should immediately contact concerned Postmaster or UPSC’s
