SHRI B.N. JHA TAKES OVER AS HEAVY INDUSTRY SECRETARY

Shri B.N. Jha yesterday took over as Secretary in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Shri Jha belongs to the 1967 batch of the IAS and is from the Bihar cadre. He succeeds Shri Ravindra Gupta. Shri Jha has wide ranging experience in industrial sector at national and international levels. He has worked as Consultant for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), at Vienna and also as Industrial Consultant for Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation (CFTC). As Director General, National Productivity Council he was actively associated with Asian Productivity Organisation with Hqrs. at Tokyo, Japan for productivity improvement in industrial sector.
